words

Words
Words seem like irrelevant things at times. I mean most people don't even think as words flow out of there mouths like water from a faucet. But words have such power behind them. Even if you don't mean them the way they sound.
I really think that words are the most powerful thing in the world, because some words can bring you up so high, so high that you don't want to come down. Then other words can make you feel so so small or hurt you so bad that you don't want to get out of bed in the morning.
People say that actions speak louder than words, but sometimes words are more important than the way you act. It's like Francis Beaumont and John Fletcher said in The Spanish Curate " 'Tis a word that's quickly spoken, Which being unrestrained, a heart is broken. " What they meant when they said this was that sometimes when you say things you can break someones heart.
I dont mean for this to be a downer. There are some funny words out there like Manhole or Shenanigans. Oh and the word Potpourri. Then there are the fun Course words that everyone likes to use. I think the most popular are F**k and S**t. I mean people wonder why young kids say them so much , well it's probably because they are so much fun to say, and they come out of your mouth easily when you're mad.
But even when words that are said in a joking tone can hurt. Sometimes people say things in a joking tone even when they are serious because they know that what they are saying is going to sound mean. People always say just kidding after something mean or hurtful comes out there mouth.
Since I am starting to ramble on and I am running out of things to say. i will just finish with this. Think before you speak, because when you don't the word that comes out of your mouth might ruin something great. So think.... . .

The two most powerful words in the dictionary are LOVE and HATE, so use them wisely.

Tired of Chris Brown

Alright so this week Chris Brown pleaded to the fans to help get his music back to the way it was back before that whole thing with him and Rihanna. Now I never really judged Chris Brown about what happened with him and Rihanna. I mean no one really knows what went on in that car, and no one knows what was said. I don't agree with his actions that night but I don't judge him for them.
OK, so now he thinks that the fans are going to take him back like nothing happened. I really think that he should have just did his community service and layed low for a minute. But someone in his entourage told him that coming out with an album 8 months after his "incident", as i call it, would be a good idea. It was not a good idea to come out with an album and if you were you should not have had high expectations for it's sales. I mean you hit a girl, and since women and teenage girls were most of your fan base, why would you think that they would take you back. I mean until you film yourself getting beat up by a girl ,or something to that degree, i doubt they will take you back anytime soon.
Now i have to say his album Graffiti was decent. I am not a Chris Brown fan so for me to say that it was at least good is a lot for me. But it wasn't a come back album. I mean he is going to need a blow me away type album to get his career, and even then it will be like starting over again. You know building his career up from the bottom. I know he said that he doesn't want to be a mixtape artist. But i think that is what he might have to do to get his career back. He just has to be a little patient. Now if he cant handle the wait, then he should keep coming out with these halfway good albums until he gets a fantastic one.

Now since I am SO tired of this Rihanna, Chris Brown stuff. This will be the first and last time I talk about it. I mean Rihanna is starting to get annoying and he is always pleading for peoples forgiveness and being a winy baby. Then here comes Rihanna with her I was beat up, now buy my album act. I mean it's just starting to get ridiculous. It's all starting to get a little redundant. I will be glad when it is no longer news.

Two good albums

I Gotta Say all of Christofer Drew's music is really good. I mean the lyrics always seem to be really heartfelt. My favorite song has to be Hummingbird. The song is just so beautiful and I have listened to it like 99 times on my computer, but i digress. His new album What is love? is really good. It is a shirt album but it is a great album. It has two songs that most Nevershoutnever fans have already heard, like What is love and Jane Doe. But it has some new songs that are great, like Love is our weapon and Cant stand it. But the songs at first seem like his usual love songs and those songs that give you his usual great lyric writing. But at the end of the album he gives us a slow ballad at the end called The past. It is a great song that really tells you the story of some of the struggles that Christofer Drew went through when he left home. It is a very touching song with Heartfelt lyrics.
All together Christofer Drew never ceases to amaze me with his music. The album was just another compilation of great songs, that you wont help to but listen to but over and over again. SO I say Kudos. I give it 5 out of 5 stars on the Briana Likey scale.

Now onto a new artist, to my ears. Angel Taylor. I first heard her single on VH1's you aughta know artists thing. Her first single Like You Do was a very sweet song with great lyrics about love and happiness. But I think what draws you in about this artist is her soft voice and shy seeming personality. After I saw a performance of the first song off her album called Chai Tea Latte. I was blown away by her voice and just how great the song was. I mean it wasn't a Adele voice that would you know just knock you out the park, but it was just something different about her sound to me. Her album was very good and had a R&B acoustic feel to it. It had it's slow songs about losing love and then it had it's sweet songs about the feeling you get when you fall in love. To me her album was just very well written and an easy listen. Something to listen to when you have had a hard day and just want to relax. Just put on this album and some of your worries might melt away.
All together a great find of an album. Each song is really good, lyrically and vocally. I give the album 5 out of 5, on the Briana Likey scale.

I am thinking about changing the name of my scale...... . . . .
